Ibn Batuta
Ibn Batuta (1304?–78?), greatest Arab traveler of the Middle Ages. He spent about 25 years traveling in Africa, Asia, and Europe. His notes (the Rihlah, or Travels) provide a priceless account of life before the rise of Europe.
