Icarus

Icarus, in Greek mythology, son of Daedalus, with whom he was imprisoned in the labyrinth by King Minos of Crete. To escape Minos's wrath, they attached feathered wings to their shoulders with wax and flew away. Icarus, however, flew too high; the sun melted the wax, and he plunged into the sea and was drowned.
