Imhotep



Imhotep (fl.c.2980–2950 B.C.), Egyptian architect of the Step Pyramid at Saqqara. Chief minister, priest, and scribe to Pharaoh Zoser, Imhotep's fame spread and after his death he became a god of medicine. He is considered the first doctor known to history by name.
