Karl Jaspers



Jaspers, Karl (1883–1969), German philosopher noted for his steadfast opposition to Nazism and his acute yet controversial analyses of German society. Early work in psychopathology led him into the Heidelberg University philosophical faculty in 1913. He there became one of Germany's foremost exponents of existentialism.
