Jefferson Memorial

Jefferson Memorial, monument in Washington, D.C., dedicated in 1943 to the memory of Thomas Jefferson. A white marble structure in classical style, it was designed by John Russell Pope and contains a statute of Jefferson by Rudulph Evans.
