Steven Paul Jobs

Jobs, Steven Paul (1955– ), U.S. computer designer and businessman, founder with Stephen Wozniak of Apple Computer, Inc. (1976). The company's success reshaped the personal computer industry. Managerial disputes caused Jobs to leave Apple in 1985. In 1988 he unveiled a computer system aimed at the college and university market, called NeXT.
