John, Epistles of, three New Testament epistles (23rd–25th) ascribed to St. John the Apostle. First John is a discourse about the 2 aspects of religion, practical and mythical. Second John warns against denials of the reality of Jesus's history. Third John protests an obstinate church leader's failure to receive missionaries.
