Jordan

Jordan, nonnavigable river beginning in north Israel and flowing about 200 mi (320 km) south through the Sea of Galilee and the Ghor Valley into the Dead Sea. The portion of the river between the Sea of Galilee and the Dead Sea forms the border between the Kingdom of Jordan and the West Bank, occupied by Israel since the 1967 war.
