Khyber Pass
Khyber Pass, mountain pass on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, about 3,500 ft (1,070 m) high and 28 mi (45 km) long. For centuries it was the main western land entry to India. Now a modern highway and a 34-tunnel railroad are on this site.
