Eric Knight

Knight, Eric (1897–1943), English-American author best known for his children's novel Lassie Come Home (1940). Other works include the novels The Flying Yorkshireman (1937), This Above All (1941), and the short-story collection Sam Small Flies Again (1942). He was killed in an airplane crash while on a World War II mission.
