John La Farge

La Farge, John (1835–1910), U.S. artist and writer. He was noted for his fine mural painting and stained glass, chiefly executed for churches, such as the mural Ascension in the Church of the Ascension, New York City. He also produced fine watercolors and drawings and was a lecturer and writer of art criticism.
