Lake Como (Italian: Lago di Como), lake in the northern Italian province of Lombardy, at the foot of the Alps, 25 miles (40 km) north of Milan. Lake Como is a popular tourist attraction, famed for the beauty of its setting and the elegant villas lining its shores.
