Lake Powell



Lake Powell, lake on the Utah-Arizona border, formed by the Glen Canyon Dam and fed by the Colorado River. It is 186 mi (299 km) long and 500 ft (150 m) deep. The dam was built to produce hydroelectric power. Lake Powell is a popular recreation site.
