Édouard Lalo
Lalo, Édouard (1823–92), French composer. Many of his works were influenced by Spanish music, including Symphonie Espagnole (1875) for violin and orchestra, first performed by Spanish virtuoso violinist Pablo Sarasate. Other famous works are the ballet Namouna (1882) and the opera Le Roi d'Ys.
