Lillie Langtry

Langtry, Lillie (Emily Charlotte Le Breton; 1853–1929), English actress. Known, because of her birthplace (Jersey, Channel Islands), as the Jersey Lily. In 1881 she made a sensation by being the first society woman to go on the stage, making her debut at the Haymarket Theatre, London, in She Stoops to Conquer.
