Robert Lansing



Lansing, Robert (1864–1928), U.S. international lawyer and statesman. He founded the American Journal of International Law (1907), and as secretary of state (1915–20) he concluded the Lansing-Ishii agreement with Japan (1917), reaffirming the Open Door policy toward China.
