Ring Lardner

Lardner, Ring (1885–1933), U.S. sports journalist and short-story writer. Stories like “You Know Me, Al” (1916), satirize vulgarity and greed in U.S. life. Short-story volumes include What of It? (1925) and Round Up (1929). With G.S. Kaufman, he wrote the play June Moon (1929).
