Lee, Harper (1926– ), U.S. author whose only novel, To Kill A Mockingbird (1960), won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The novel vividly depicts the racism and prejudice of a small southern town by focusing on the sensitive perceptions of the story's narrator, Finch's young daughter.
