Alan Jay Lerner
Lerner, Alan Jay (1918–86), U.S. lyricist and dramatist. Along with the composer Frederick Loewe, he created such musical comedies as My Fair Lady, Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, and Camelot. Lerner and Loewe won an Academy Award for the title song in Gigi. Lerner himself won Academy Awards for the screenplays of Gigi and An American in Paris.
