Liu Shao-Ch'i



Liu Shao-Ch'i (1893–1969), Chinese communist leader who succeeded Mao Tse-Tung as chair of the Chinese People's Republic (1959–68). In 1968 he was publicly denounced for embracing capitalism and dismissed. In 1980 he was posthumously exonerated by Deng Xiaoping.
