Ernst Lubitsch
Lubitsch, Ernst (1892–1947), German film director, noted for the sophisticated comedies he made after his emigration to Hollywood in 1923. Among his films are Forbidden Paradise (1924), Ninotchka (1939), and Heaven Can Wait (1943).
