Lunda

Lunda, indigenous people of Zaire, Angola, and Zambia. The Lunda people, who speak a Bantu language, had a powerful kingdom in the early 1600s, encompassing large parts of present-day Zaire, Angola, and Zambia. Although most Lunda still live in small country villages where they farm and fish for a living, many have migrated to urban areas since the 1960s.
