Mangosteen

Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana), tropical tree of the garcinia family, native to Southeast Asia; also, the fruit of that tree. The tree grows about 30 ft (9 m) tall, bearing large, stiff leaves and large white or pink flowers. The fruit, about 2 in (6 cm) in diameter, has a thick red-brown rind and white flesh tasting something like pineapple, peach, and tangerine.
