Marjoram



Marjoram, perennial herb of the mint family, native to the Mediterranean region and Asia. It is cultivated in the United States for flavoring foods and for use in toilet soaps. Sweet marjoram is Marjorana hortensis. Common marjoram (Origanum vulgare) is also called oregano.
