Missionary

Missionary, individual sent to a foreign territory or country to educate others in particular religious tradition. While their goal is religious conversion, missionaries also work to provide agricultural information, social services, and literacy skills. The Christian church, with the greatest number of missionaries, sponsors activities in Asia, Latin America, Africa, and the Pacific islands.
