Samuel Eliot Morison
Morison, Samuel Eliot (1887–1976), U.S. historian and Harvard professor who wrote the official 15-volume history of the U.S. Navy during World War II. He won Pulitzer Prizes for his Admiral of the Ocean Sea (1942), a life of Christopher Columbus, and John Paul Jones (1959).
