Mount Elbrus



Mount Elbrus, highest mountain peak in Europe. Located in the Caucasus Mountains in southwestern former USSR, it is 18,481 ft (5,633 m) high and covers an area of 55 sq mi (140 sq km). Covered by approximately 22 glaciers, it is a major tourist and mountain climbing center.
