Mount Fuji
Mount Fuji, highest mountain in Japan. Situated on Honshu, an island west of Tokyo, it is 12,388 (3,776 m) high. Its slopes create almost a perfect cone. The Japanese revere Mount Fuji as a sacred place; thousands climb to its top yearly. Fuji contains an inactive volcano.
