Bataan Peninsula



Bataan Peninsula, province of southwestern Luzon, the Philippines. A mountainous jungle region historically known as the last stronghold of U.S. and Philippine troops who held out 3 months against Japanese forces in 1942, during World War II. The prisoners were sent on a “death march” to a prison camp.
