Bellerophon

Bellerophon, Greek mythological hero. Bellerophon tamed the winged horse Pegasus to aid him in the tasks set by King Iobates. He attempted to reach Olympus on his mount, but Pegasus, stung by a gadfly sent by Zeus, threw him, and Bellerophon was crippled and blinded.
