Bent grass

Bent grass, popular name for some grasses (genus Agrostis) of Europe, North America, and North Africa, widely grown for pasture cover and for hay. In the United States one widely grown species is redtop (A. albot). Some kinds of bent grass are suitable for lawns and golf greens.
