Zulfikar Ali Bhutto
Bhutto, Zulfikar Ali (1928–79), president and prime minister of Pakistan (1971–77); father of Benazir Bhutto. He held several government posts under President Mohammad Ayub Khan, but became one of his leading opponents and was imprisoned (1968–69). He was deposed by Mohammad Zia ul-Haq in a military coup and executed 2 years later.
