Billings
Billings (pop. 113,419), largest city in Montana, seat of Yellowstone County, located in the south central part of the state. Billings was founded in 1882 during construction of the Northern Pacific Railroad and became a shipping and fur trading center. Major industries today include oil and sugar refining, meat packing, and flour milling.
