Ralph Albert Blakelock



Blakelock, Ralph Albert (1847–1919), U.S. painter associated with the Hudson River School and known for his moonlit landscapes (Brook by Moonlight). Distressed by poverty, Blakelock suffered a mental breakdown (1899); his paintings increased in value and popularity in the early years of the twentieth century.
