Blizzard

Blizzard, snowstorm with high velocity winds, temperatures well below freezing, and visibility less than 500 ft (152.4 m). Such storms are common on the Great Plains east of the Rockies in the United States and Canada, in polar regions, and in parts of Europe and Asia.
