Judy Blume

Blume, Judy (1938– ), U.S. author. Her best-known works are in the “young adult” genre and deal with experiences of teenagers and preteens as they grow toward maturity. Her books in this vein include Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret (1970), Then Again, Maybe I Won't (1971), and Forever (1975). Adult novels include Wifey (1978) and Smart Woman (1983).
