Boating

Boating, popular pastime using waterborne craft for pleasure. Boats can be propelled by small motors, sails, or paddles (oars). They vary from 1- and 2-person kayaks, canoes, and rowboats to yachts ranging from 30 to 120 ft (9 to 36.5 m). There are more than 14 million pleasure boats in the United States, used primarily for sports fishing and cruising inland waterways.
