Saint Boniface



Boniface, Saint (c.672–754?), English missionary, called the Apostle of Germany. Backed by the Frankish rulers Charles Martel and Pepin the Short, he organized the German church, reformed the Frankish clergy, and advanced the conversion of the Saxons.
