Benjamin Louis Eulalie de Bonneville
Bonneville, Benjamin Louis Eulalie de (1796–1878), French-American soldier and pioneer. He explored the far west (1832–35) and fought in the Mexican War (1846–48). He is remembered largely because of Washington Irving's romanticized The Adventures of Captain Bonneville (1837).
