Gutzon Borglum
Borglum, Gutzon (1867–1941), U.S. sculptor best remembered for Mt. Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota, with its enormous portrait heads of Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt carved on mountainsides. Begun in 1927, the project was completed by his son after Borglum's death.
