Marcel (Lajos) Breuer



Breuer, Marcel (Lajos) (1902–81), Hungarian-born U.S. architect. A student and teacher at the Bauhaus 1920–28, in 1937 he moved to Harvard and continued working with Walter Gropius. A pioneer of the international style, he collaborated in the design of the UNESCO headquarters, Paris (1953–58).
