John Buchan t Baron Tweedsmuir (1s)
Buchan, John, 1st Baron Tweedsmuir (1875–1940), Scottish author and politician. He wrote a four-volume history of World War I (1920–21), biographies (of Julius Caesar, 1932), and classic adventure stories (The Thirty-Nine Steps, 1915). From 1935 he was governor-general of Canada.
