Budget



Budget, document designed to estimate income and expenditures over a certain period of time, usually 1 year. The most important budget in the United States is the federal budget, prepared annually by the executive branch of government, and transmitted to the Congress, usually in January. Most aspects of the budget must be approved by Congress.
