Charles Ephraim Burchfield
Burchfield, Charles Ephraim (1893–1967), U.S. watercolorist known for his midwestern landscapes and small-town scenes. A leader of the realistic movement in American painting, he often depicted architectural relics of the late 1800s and was sensitive to lighting and atmospheric effects.
