Cairn terrier

Cairn terrier, breed of dog that originated in Scotland. Its name comes from its ability to dig under cairns (piles of stone) in order to hunt animals. It weighs 13–14 lb (5.9–6.4 kg). Its wiry topcoat is of various colors, but never white.
