Camp David Agreement
Camp David Agreement, peace treaty formulated in 1979 at Camp David by Egyptian President Anwar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin with the assistance of U.S. President Jimmy Carter. It included a timetable for Israel's phased withdrawal from the Egyptian Sinai by 1982, mutual diplomatic recognition, and a framework for attempting to solve the Palestinian question.
