Frank Capra

Capra, Frank (1897–91), U.S. film director and 3-time Academy Award winner. With a gift for gentle satire and comic improvisation, he directed Mr. Deeds Goes to Town (1936), Lost Horizon (1937), You Can't Take It with You (1938) and It's a Wonderful Life (1946).
