Benjamin Nathan Cardozo
Cardozo, Benjamin Nathan (1870–1938), U.S. jurist and Supreme Court justice (1932–38) after an impressive career at the bar and in the New York courts. His many significant decisions reflect his view that the courts should not merely interpret the law but help create it, particularly in adapting it to changing social conditions.
