Caribou

Caribou (Rangifer tarandus), the only member of the deer family (Cervidae) in which both sexes bear antlers. They were at one time essential food animals for Native Americans of Canada. They live wild in Canada and Siberia, while the semi-domesticated reindeer, a subspecies, live in Greenland and Scandinavia. They can travel over boggy or snow-covered ground and live on lichen, dry grass, and twigs.
