Cartoon

Cartoon, originally, preparatory sketch in the fine arts; since the mid-19th century, humorous or satirical drawing. Today the term also includes the comic strip, the political cartoon, and cartoon animation. Prominent U.S. cartoonists include Charles Addams, Al Capp, Charles Schulz, Garry Trudeau, and Herblock.
